FOOD AND LOVE GO HAND IN HAND


So Valentine's Day is approaching and with it comes the question: what will I do? Here are a few tips and a menu suggestion with seasonal produce in mind to help you plan that special date night meal.

Think about fresh ingredients that are in season, dietary preferences and restrictions. What is your partner's favourite food? Keep it simple, you’re aiming for a meal that feels nourishing, complete, and satisfying without causing inflammation.

If you really want to impress, an elegant amuse bouche of oysters, a true aphrodisiac is a wonderful way to kick off a romantic meal. For starter you could try a beetroot and rocket salad, walnuts and roquefort cheese. And for the main course choose something that doesn’t require a lot of preparation. If you’re going to do meat, choose a super quality piece of steak, fast rich and uncomplicated. So maybe a tarte tatin with a quality vanilla ice cream for dessert.

And finally set the mood. Think about how you’re going to serve your dish, make your food look pretty. Get the table laid in advance, candles, a good bottle of wine, flowers, your favourite music and you'r good to go.
