FULL TIME PRIVATE CHEF IN SURREY


Location Virginia Water Surrey.

Salary 50k - 60k

The family is looking for a full time private chef to cook lunch and dinner for their family of four in Virginia Water, Surrey.

Monday - Friday the children are in boarding school so lunch and dinner for two will served, with the exception of school holidays.

Generally lunch is served around 12:30pm - 1pm and dinner around 7pm but times may change depending on the family's schedule.

Lunch and dinner to be served and cleared.

The Principles are vegetarian and the Lady of the house is also gluten free. The children are mostly vegetarian but occasionally eat meat.

The position is live in or out, depending on the candidate's needs.

5 days a week. Days off on Sunday and Monday.

Working hours are between 10:30am to 9pm.

Position start ASAP and for long term.

Candidate must have a good solid knowledge of healthy eating and nutrition with expertise in Mediterranean cuisine, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cooking.

The chef is expected to prepare an advanced weekly menu, to include original recipes, each Tuesday.

Using only the freshest organic ingredients and no pre-prepared food. Everything made from scratch including breads, desserts, etc.

Travel - in December and possibly one other time during the year.

The chef must be super professional, reliable and flexible.

Very organised and tidy working very hygienically, keeping the kitchen to the highest standards with attention to the smallest of details.

Must have household experience and can show that he/she worked for a long time in a private household.

The family has two dogs.

Salary - 50k - 60k."

CHEF - JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

•Private Chef with expertise in organic, Mediterranean, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cooking.

•Plan weekly menus according to the Employer’s needs and dietary restrictions. Menus should be original, organic and always fresh.

•Create innovative and new dishes for menus.

•Maintain high levels of presentation, including proper formal and informal place settings and service.

•Shop for and order food, kitchen supplies and equipment using preferred suppliers.

•Stock and organise kitchen.

•Maintain kitchen (including all equipment, appliances, supplies, the bar and banquette seating areas, the wine room and the butler’s pantry) to a superior level of cleanliness and hygiene.

•Maintaining daily communication with Employers regarding requests for meals and any requirements for the kitchen and/or food preparation.

•Plan and prepare food for parties, holiday meals, luncheons, special functions and events for up to 16 guests. Direct the operation and organisation of the kitchen and all food related activities during larger events. This includes managing and coordinating the presentation and serving of food and the activities of food service staff.

•Travel with Employers to vacation homes to provide meal preparation

•Ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
